The Logitech G502 is maybe the best, most popular gaming mouse ever, but that doesn’t mean there’s no room for improvement. The G502 Lightspeed is the new wireless version with the HERO sensor, but can it compete with the DeathAdder, Finalmouse, or even Logi’s own G Pro Wireless?

Great review!
did logitech really have to specify that the mouses endoskeleton was internal?
ngl the cursor in the back is kinda distracting me
Linus, I just bought this mouse and you completely forgot to mention how utterly UNUSABLE Logitech GHub is. Probably going to return this mouse because the software is that bad.
I may consider buying when a USB-c version comes out
its too heavy
the wireless sucks cause it has no wire like
if you have a g502 proteous core don't upgrade i did and the new switches they use under the left and right click are absolutely horrible hopefull i can send it back and start using the g502 core again that i have had for 6 years almost
Me watching this with my g402
The switch for right and left click will die out. They do double clicks. Extremely disappointing for a 200$ mouse.
Just got the hero g502 wired version, its very nice and comfortable for my hand, people may say its heavy and stuff, bruh? This is a heavy mouse for heavy customers, For me personally i lift weights, and i need a solid mice which is well build and can smash clicks, so light weighted mouse wont cut it, and the game your playing plays and important role,
Things to consider when buying a mouse:
1. How does it feel in your hands, try it, feel the click, how it moves.
2. What is offered for this its price, is it worth it.
3. Warranty.
i choose Logitech G502 hero for its monstrous size, and very minimal led, honestly, i feel mouse with led wont improve your gameplay. Talk about the mouse scroll, the best feature i liked, the scrolling in this mouse is absolutely amazing.
I payed for performance not a light show, this is my honest personal preference
I have g pro😂🤣🤣
I’ll give u a reason.
Because they are fking expensive
The last time I used a wired keyboard and mouse was when CRT monitors were around. Logitech wireless is the only option.
DONT BUY THIS MOUSE.
3 months of use and I've noticed that when holding down left click, the mouse double clicks randomly. Searched up the issue and apparently many people have this issue especially with the newer models (eg. g502 hero).
Are doubleclicks a common problem with this mouse?
I actually prefer a chord, nothing worse than worrying if your battery will die mid game
When you're still rockin a G500s and are finally thinking about upgrading
Nobody:
Me:*forgets about the whole video and keeps focusing on how the mouse us moving in the background while linus is waving with it*
I still have my g502 from 2014
Ok but I’m only just now realising that he acts a lot like Micheal from vsauce
Loved my logitech G5 that worked perfectly for "over a decade" and I also love its replacement the G502 I bought it in early 2016. I only replaced the G5 because I wanted something newer. As for the G502 since purchase, there have been zero operational issues with thousands of hours well into the double digits for use. The G502 still works perfectly like the day I bought it. People say this is a heavy mouse and I honestly see no difference coming from the older version. In fact I will say the weight provides more traction to assist with stopping unlike a light mouse that will over extend slightly. (I use a black razor diamond coated hard mouse pad to aid in several tracking areas) I love everything about the G502 and the wireless version is neat. But it is not double the price neat and will only reduce performance if the bluetooth plug is far away. Which in these tests the bluetooth connection is always very close to the mouse. So either your tower is directly next to your mouse within inches or it's on a wire anyway. I will also say a wired mouse has no noticeable drag long as you give the cord some slack near the mouse.
My only complaint over the design is the cloth braiding around the cord. Logitech just can't make a quality braid for their cables as several of their products have the same issues. Eventually there will be a hole and the wire will push out. You can tape the hope or just cut the braid otherwise the wire will kink there and eventually expose wire ruining it. This is a problem for any braided cords. Plus it collects a ton of dust.
Hope you enjoyed my 2 cents on this quality product and I would definitely buy another wired G502 if this one ever breaks.
Does it have better switches than the G502 Hero? I've gone through 4 of those mice (purchased from 3 different locations over a 2 year period), they're cheap as hell. Left and right click problems on every one I've owned, but I love the mouse so I keep buying it in hopes that I'm just getting unlucky. Please tell me the Lightspeed uses better switches!
I made it… Took me 1 year.. But i just get it today, and re-watching the review lol.. This mouse is definitely premium at least feels premium..
I hate to be that guy, but I notice a difference in latency and I kinda want to steal my wired back from my girlfriend ):
Reason : budget
Money
i bought the g502 proteus core back in 2015, still works fine in 2020
actually, I for instance, really like my g502 because of the weight, I like my mice heavy
I still dont know what is the point and purpose of a wireless mouse.
Literally exactly what he said gonna upgrade from my first to probably last mouse. And sell the old one 😂
The Ting go skrrrrra…
tbh i just bought it and it kinda feels cheap.
scroll wheel button is too hard.
and i think i might return the thing.
To be honest the hero sensor has been giving me issues the 1.5 years I’ve had it and the sensor itself stopped working completely.
I bought this mouse but will return it. If you only use it for gaming, you might like it, bec it's super accurate. But for me the mouse just feels too small and hurts my hand, so I have to look for another mouse.
Coz it is a brick
Because it's heavy as a brick. GPW or RVU are way better.
rAzEr BaSiLiSk UlTiMaTe Is BeTtEr
i will pay anything for the cables to disappear i hate cables
wireless is annoying
I just realise i have 3.6+3.6+5.2g weights inside my regular G502 thx
Heres one without even watching the video: the price
this mouse is SHIT! Logitech is shit! There is no product from Logitech that I bought that would not malfunction! This mouse also malfunctioned! Back button is registering more that 1 press! I must press it very fast to it to report 1 button press! Mouse wheel sometimes do not report roll! I still have warranty on this shit!
What a shit product!
Other malfunctioned products. G29 was dead! RMA it and other one is making weird sound while turning! But warranty ended so I am stuck with this shit!!!
Another shit product from shit company! G13! 2 microsticks are DEAD!!! Many people had same issue.
This company is so crap!
Linus: Give me ONE reason to NOT upgrade
Me: I'm too poor
Only Linus could get away with advertising a sponsor that specialises in custom cables on a wireless product review….
Too heavy??? Wtf? Look at some of the FAT wired mice out there! My old Mamba TE weighed a nice solid 125g. If this thing is like 10 grams lighter, bring on the weights baby.
Paying 100 bucks extra for being wireless is in my opinion not worth it.
I got the g502 for 50 Canadian dollars. Wait no. 40. I accidentally got 40 bucks off from the manager. It's complicated.
It's a fucking brick of a mouse with a super distracting sniper button, making it unusable to me. The shape is good and build quality is great. Other than that, It's extremely overrated compared to other mice.
