Configure PhpStorm Interpreters on Mac OS X

This is my preferred way of getting PHP interpreters working on OS X.

You do not need to run MAMP to get this to work, PhpStorm has its own Webserver. MAMP is just an easy way to install PHP.

MAMP:
PhpStorm: (If you have an ISIC / Student card – its FREE!)

worked great with one minor addition – instead of selecting the bin folder inside of the version of PHP, I had to go in and actually select the PHP file inside bin. PhpStorm 2017.3 allowed me to select the bin folder, but didn't register any selection. Don't know if it is a version difference, but hopefully, this will save someone else a few minutes of head banging.

I discovered that PHPStorm 2017 is not compatible at this time with NGINX!

After about half an hour of errors I followed these steps on Apache, and it all started working again.

now that you've configure phpstorm with mamp, how do you configure mamp with phpstrom so that when you run it, its on the apache port 8888
